The shows’ mission is to “find all the gear, information, and inspiration you need to get out there and get fit this spring” In addition, Sarah Currie will also be participating in a panel discussion on woman’s health and running, starting at 11:30AM on Saturday April 23rd.banner-1

banner-1Physical Equilibrium’s Registered Dietitian Sarah Currie has been invited to participate on a panel to discuss running and women’s health.  The panel is part of JackRabit’s NYC Running Show 2011, which takes place at the Metropolitan Pavilion on Saturday April 23 at 11:30am.

Sarah will join SPTNY physical therapist Sarah Todd and author of the book Run Like a Girl, Mina Samuels. The panel will focus on injury prevention and rehabilitation, managing expectations, how to balance training with everyday life, nutritional tips and debunking diet myths. The discussion will be tailored to women runners.

heart symposium flyerPhysical Equilibrium’s Registered Dietitian Sarah Currie will serve as a featured speaker at the second annual “Love Your Heart” Living a Healthy Life” symposium sponsored by Women’s Heart NY. The mission of this symposium, which will also feature medical professionals from St. Luke’s, Roosevelt and Beth Israel Hospitals, is to educate women about heart disease, provide information on how to prevent it and to offer exercise and nutrition tips for heart healthy living.

The symposium will take place on Friday, February 11, 2011 from 8:30am – 1:00pm and is located on the 2nd Floor of Roosevelt Hospital. Space is limited so those interested are asked to RSVP to 1-877-966-3600 by February 8th.

Screen shot 2010-04-05 at 9.59.51 PMThis Saturday, Physical Equilibrium will be exhibiting at the Multisport World Conference and Expo. In addition, Physical Equilibrium’s Registered Dietitian Sarah Currie will be leading a panel discussion entitled, “Nutrition Dos and Dont’s.”  The expo starts at 8:00am, with Sarah’s panel taking place at 12:15pm.

According to its Web site, the mission of Multisport World “is to create events for the multisport athlete that are high in quality and deliver an all around valuable experience.” And this years conference is truly representative of the organizations mission, as seminars include swimming technique, mental preparation tips and speed training.
